One Stroke, One Flow – Why We Became Onstro!

From building in Goa to serving the world – here’s the story behind our new name.

Twelve years ago, in August 2013, we started Teknorix to solve problems we understood deeply. Over time, we built solutions for both businesses and end customers – Jobsoid for hiring, workplace management tools, task tracking systems, customer support platforms, and more – scaling Jobsoid into a global SaaS product used in over 100 countries.

But as our portfolio grew, we saw a recurring challenge: customers were spending too much time making these tools work together. One of our earliest customers summed it up perfectly: “I love each tool you’ve built, but together, they feel like they’re speaking different languages.” Even with integrations, people were still copying data, switching tabs, and losing context. We heard stories of candidates being manually exported from Jobsoid just to be assigned office assets. It wasn’t just inefficient – it was exhausting.

That’s when we started asking a different question. Not “How do we build better products?” but How do we build products that are better together?

We began building Onstro two years ago. Today, on our 12th anniversary, we’re ready to share it with the world.

One Stroke, One Flow

The name comes from the one-stroke painting technique—a single brushstroke that lays down colour, shape, and detail in one motion. That’s how we want software to feel: fluid, connected, and intentional. A platform where your tools don’t just coexist – they work as one.

We didn’t just rename ourselves. We rewired how we think—starting with breaking down our own silos. Product, design, and support no longer work in parallel; they operate as one from the very first idea. We also made bold choices to retire features that no longer served our vision, even when that meant tough conversations with long-time customers. This wasn’t just a rebrand. It was a re-commitment to clarity, coherence, and courage in how we build products, design experiences, and shape our company.

What this Means for You

You’ll still find the tools you know and rely on. What’s changing is the foundation beneath them – the connective tissue that ties everything together. Over time, new features and products will feel less like separate tools and more like a natural part of the same experience.

And through it all, one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to building things that make sense – tools that respect your time, protect your data, and don’t force you to learn ten ways to do one thing.

Our Roots are Local. Our Reach is Global.

We’re still the same team, still building from Goa – but we’ve grown.

Today, we have a strong presence in Europe through Onstro Portugal, and a team in Belgium supporting our customers in Western Europe. After establishing our Belgium presence, one of our product managers spent a day onsite with a customer, helping simplify a key pain point and making an immediate impact for their team. Being present isn’t just about geography – it’s about listening closely and acting fast.

Onstro was born in Goa, and now we’re building for the world with over 90 professionals across India, Portugal, and Belgium. Our global reach gives us perspective, but our roots in Goa keep us grounded, agile, and focused on what matters.

Growth hasn’t diluted who we are – we still believe in clear design, fast feedback loops, and treating support tickets like conversations, not cases.

The Road Ahead

We know a name doesn’t make a company. But it can signal intent. Onstro isn’t just about cohesion—it’s about creating a future where business software fades into the background, so your team can focus on what actually matters: solving problems, building things, and growing without friction.

This rebrand is also about the kind of company we’re building for the future. We believe good software doesn’t interrupt, it integrates. You shouldn’t need extra plugins to be productive. Context is gold, and your tools should protect it. Less busywork means more real work.

These principles now shape every product we create – whether it’s project and task management tools, team communication platforms, customer engagement systems, or data-driven analytics solutions. Onstro is the name for that bigger mission and the commitment to make work feel simpler, more connected, and more human.

Onstro gives us the language and the canvas to do what we’ve always wanted to do: build thoughtful software that fits together from day one.

To everyone who’s been part of this journey so far – thank you. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
